In 2024, our designs were featured in a large-scale artist takeover curated by Brookfield Properties at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. We developed oversized versions of our work for the installation, produced by the local designer and artist collective UND.studio.
At the centre stood a 4-metre Tree of Life made from powder-coated steel, decorated with insects and birds.
Around it, butterfly- and insect-shaped seating invited visitors to pause, while lanterns displayed oversized versions of our signature flowers. The installation remained in place until March 2025.
A series of one-off sculptural totems inspired by the Artist Flowers collection by Studio ROOF. Each piece translates the expressive floral language of artists such as Klimt, Van Gogh and Matisse into handcrafted wooden forms.
These sculptural flowers are designed as statement pieces—ideal for exhibitions, events and table settings. Bespoke floral sculptures can be created on request, tailored to specific spaces or occasions.
A collection of solid wooden blocks that seem to be balancing on an asymmetrical pedestal. Playful designs that subtly allude to the Memphis movement. Each piece is made to order in our Amsterdam atelier, hand-painted and assembled using FSC-certified birch plywood and water-based paints.
To mark 20 years of Studio ROOF, we created a series of images that capture the essence of The Poetry of Imagination—a reinterpretation of our visual language at a new scale.
In collaboration with Ines Beeftink and Jantien Baas, our creations became wearable, oversized forms, with the team stepping into the world we have built—where object and imagination merge.
A quiet celebration of who we are, and how we continue to see.
Monumental, one-of-a-kind works rooted in the poetic universe of Studio ROOF, reimagined at scale for distinguished interiors. Iconic motifs—beetles, masks, lobsters—are transformed into sculptural statements, where art, design and craftsmanship converge.
Each piece is conceived within Studio ROOF’s signature visual language and meticulously crafted as a unique work. Bespoke commissions allow for a precise dialogue with space, context and client—resulting in sculptural forms that are both expressive and enduring.
Created as singular editions, these works are designed to command presence—quietly powerful, unmistakably distinct.
An evolving collection of unique art pieces created from leftover materials in our atelier—an open space for exploration, intuition and upcycling. At moments in between, we dedicate a few days to experiment freely, resulting in small, unexpected series. Each piece is entirely one of a kind.
The starting point is reclaimed wood from our studio. By thoughtfully composing these elemental forms and applying distinctive colour palettes, we create singular wall artworks—each with its own character.
On display in our Amsterdam store and available online at studioroof.
Over a period of five years, we developed a series of unique, poetic works in collaboration with petit h—the Hermès atelier dedicated to giving new form to materials through craftsmanship and creative reuse.
Each piece was conceived by us and crafted in Paris by the artisans of petit h, using reclaimed materials such as leather and porcelain. The works were presented as singular pieces and offered through the Éphémères auctions in Hermès stores worldwide.
Derived from Studio ROOF’s Flowers collection, designed by Dutch artist Jantien Baas, this series of wooden wall flowers is crafted in birch plywood. The artist drew inspiration from Piet Oudolf’s gardens, focusing especially on the beauty and elegance of overblown flowers.
Designed by stylist Ines Beeftink, this collection of geometric wall shelves comes to life in bold colours. Simple, yet strikingly aesthetic. Named after their designer, the shelves create beautiful displays for the objects you cherish.
